Birchbox March 2013 – March Madness!

Birchbox March 2013 Kit

Sample clubs will be the death of me but God, I love them. Birchbox is one of the clubs I subscribe to and I have to say I’ve largely remained neither excited nor disappointed. Birchbox is a monthly sample club that provides trial and sample sizes of mostly mid to high end cosmetic brands. It’s the least expensive at $10/month and you do get points toward purchases at Birchbox.com.

What I like about Birchbox is that they always have their finger on the pulse of up and coming brands – they introduced me to Jouer! What I dislike is that the samples are never enough and you get 4-5… I’m greedy and want more. :-)

But this month, I feel like my Birchbox was CRAZY good! The theme was March Madness but a March Madness a sports hater and beauty lover like myself could enjoy! Here’s what I got in my box:

Caudalie Premier Cru The Eye Cream

Caudalie is a french skin care brand known for using grape seed extract. This eye cream is said to help soften fine lines (which I don’t have) ancd reduce puffy dark circles (which I have in abundance).

Stella Cadente Miss Me Eau de Parfum

I did a quick spritz and it smelled powdery and light but then it lingered and gave me a headache… I may try this again on a Fragrance Friday!

Vasanti Brighten Up! Enzymatic Face Rejuevenator

I haven’t heard of this brand before but I’m so excited to try this! It’s an exfoliating cleanser that’s supposed to brighten dull skin and I’m all about radiance boosting!

Whish Shave Cream Shaving Cream

Currently I am using Alba’s Organic Shave Cream and it’s Mango/Vanilla scented and makes my entire bathroom smell beachy and exotic and I love it! It’s emollient and doesn’t foam but I really love it. This one is also Organic and foam free so it’s up my alley… it has a blueberry scent… I’m not sure how I feel about that… I’ll save it for the review!

I could always use a nail file… and this one has this pretty floral print on it that is very much J. Crew/Madwell.

I’m super excited about this Birchbox! Not only are there some great items but some new brands and items I will actually use and be looking forward to!
