Biter: Nailtiques Formula 2 Treatment Kit
I wish it were different. Half the time, I don’t even realize I’m doing it. One minute, I’m staring at the computer screen thinking of what word I’m searching for and the next, my jaw is in a lock and my hands are in my mouth. It’s not for lack of trying, but the fact of the matter is, I tear up my cuticles.
And I don’t mean I pick. I bite. Chew. Till I bleed. It’s disgusting to watch. Unattractive to see and so HARD to stop. So when my Beautyfix offered Nailtiques’ Formula 2 Treatment Kit, I was pretty excited. I thought this could be an opportunity for me to soften, nourish and fix that horrid habit.
This week, I broke it open and started to try the products. While I’ve used Formula 2 for years and love how hard it makes my nails, my actual nails are not the issue. I need cuticle help!
The kit comes with 4 products:
Oil Therapy (0.25 fl. oz.)
Formula 2 (0.25 fl. oz.)
Cuticle and Skin Gel (0.25 oz.)
Nail Moisturizer (1 oz.) (Not included in Photo)
The Oil can also be used as quick dry, which I thought was pretty good. The directions (yes I’m geeky enough to read them) said if you can use the cuticle oil and cream (sparingly as in don’t overdue it… which of course I do) at night before bed with cotton gloves, that would be the best way to begin to soften your tough, calloused or bitten cuticles.
So last night I did that. And while my cuticles are still jagged (and bitten) they ARE noticeably softer. If I could keep them out of my mouth, I think this could work! (yahoo!)
The keeping out of my mouth thing is the hard part. The kit retails for around $18 at Amazon and is completely worth it if you’re like me. A biter. And if it gives me smooth, healed cuticles instead of raggedy, bleeding ones, it’s invaluable.
