Can one mascara have it all? Bobbi Brown’s Dual Ended Mascara

Bobbi Brown Caviar & Oyster Collection Dual Ended Mascara

I have a serious eyelash problem. They are light brown/blond and they are short and they are straight. Go figure since the hair on my head is wavy/curly. They exist but when I have no makeup on but it would be difficult for you to believe that. I’m ALWAYS looking for the right mascara because in truth, I wear 2. One thickening formula and one lengthening formula. It’s annoying. AND I always need a small one to take with me because by noon my mascara is gone. I mean where does it go? Do my lashes absorb pigment? So frustrating.

I am ALWAYS trying new mascara’s. Cattiva’s Divino Lash is a favorite as is Josie Maran’s Go Go Lash (review to come!). But when I saw Bobbi Brown’s Dual Ended Mascara I thought, HEY this is pretty brilliant!

On one end is Bobbi’s classic Everything Mascara for volume and the other end is Lash Glamour for length. I use the volume end first then the length end second. My problem is that I noticed some clumping with the glamour end. For some reason, I tend to get clumps with that sort of plastic kind of brush. I wipe the wand with a tissue to try to avoid this but those brushes and my lashes do not mix.

I like the Everything Mascara end but honestly, I prefer Josie Maran’s Mascara or Cattiva’s tenfold. I need multiple coats with Everything Mascara and with the other two, I need 2 coats, tops. And all are black but for some reason, the Everything Mascara black, is lighter on my lashes than the others.

I wanted to like this since I’m such a huge fan of Bobbi Brown but I just couldn’t give this an all out YAY review. GREAT idea… now to work on the formulas.
