My Purelement Naturals Care package When I was graduating college, I worked for fashion companies like Calvin Klein and Armani for the clothing allowances but the mean girl mentality of that business sent me running to my first true love – cosmetics. The whole point was getting something MORE than my salary. And honestly, while I did love fashion at the time, I really loved product way way more! So after Armani, I worked for Clarins for about 5 years and I loved every second of it. I love skin care and love learning how to care for my skin – even when I barely needed to do it!

Recently I had some interaction with a company on Twitter and they were kind enough to send me some generous samples of their product – which I am SO excited about! I have a real passion for good skin care and an even greater passion for organic and natural skin care. I never quite understood slathering on all these synthetic ingredients. First my skin never reacted well to fake stuff and second, I just always loved the french. French women always have this glow, this silent, aloof aura to them and learning through Clarins (a french company) made me aware that botanical and natural ingredients are the best way to make sure your skin shimmers naturally.

Purelement Naturals is based in Chicago (I LOVE CHICAGO!) and began in 2011 with a line of body and skin care products. After getting some positive traction from their customers on Argan Oil, Argan became their focus. The company then set out on a mission to create a pure, natural Argan Oil product that would care for Oily and Dry skin types and take care of a multitude of concerns. Defend became that product.

The products are HAND MADE (CAN YOU FEEL HOW CRAZY EXCITED I AM?) and every product and label (except for Defend’s label) is made by them. Here’s what my care package contains:

-2 Defend Organic Argan Oil Moisturizer (this is an oil in a small vial)
-Organic Refined Coconut Oil (this is in a small pot and looks white)
-Turbinado Sugar Body Polish (this is in a small pot and I LOVE scrubs!)
-Organic Unrefined Shea Butter (this is in a small pot and looks white in the pot)
-Blackbery Face and Body Polish (this is in a small pot and looks just like you’d think blackberry’s would look crushed!)

There’s also a little spoon to grab the product from the pots. I experience the spoon thing a lot with high end or natural brands. They say that putting your hand in the pot contaminates and changes the balance of the product you don’t use. So too keep it pure, you should use a little spoon to grab it.
