I have a love affair with Bobbi Brown. For many, many reasons but the main reason is that I’m a product junkie with no skill. I love gloss because you cannot mess up applying gloss. I love eye shadow but have only JUST learned how to apply eye shadow (the outer corner V technique). With Bobbi, I can use many colors and you know what? I can’t go wrong because they ALL look amazing.
So when I saw the Caviar & Oyster Palette, I had to have it. There are 8 shadows and 1 “shimmer”. The left side are brown/pink neutrals and the right are grey/brown and all sorts of smokey. On each side you have 2 shadows with shimmer and 2 without. The colors are so beyond wearable on just about every skin tone, it’s ridiculous. And they are so pretty! The sparkles aren’t screaming, they’re delicate enough to be subtle but subtle enough that when layered can be all sorts of glimmering. I am IN LOVE.
Then I opened the palette to see the so called “shimmer”. And seriously, my breath caught in my throat. I usually use Nars’ Orgasm Blush. I love it. Really love it but you know… I can totally convert to this. It’s pink-peach with sparkle that wow’s you. Honestly, you can’t even get the sparkle into the photo. It’s called “Ballet Sparkle” and I can’t think of a better name for it. It’s the perfect pale pink with the perfect amount of shine. You can wear it on your eyes as a shadow, as a blush or over your face as a highlighting product. I am so happy I got the palette for Ballet Sparkle… because they don’t make this product as a single.
