At this point, if you’ve read my blog for any length of time, you know I’m all about the pink lip gloss. I love it with such fervor I can’t describe. I’m compelled to purchase pink glosses wherever I go and while most will not see a difference in the variations of pink that I own, I do. Each has a subtle difference.

And I can finally say, I am in LOVE with a gloss that is NOT PINK! Josie Maran is a brand I really love. Not only are the products natural but they are very conscious of the world around us. They give back to the world, they are aware of not creating cosmetics that have any sort of cruelty attached and the ingredients are high quality. Josie Maran herself is a supermodel and if you take even a glance at her, you’ll want to know her secrets.

She has created a line cosmetics that infuses Argan Oil in every single product. Her vision was to create color cosmetics that was an extension of skin care. Cosmetics that nourish your skin and take care of it.

Argan Oil comes from the fruit of the Argan tree that only grows in the semi-desert region of Morocco. Argan Oil is extremely high in anti-oxidants, vitamin E, phenols, phenolic acid, essential fatty acids, carotene, and squalene. Including the lip gloss. And you can tell. It’s sticky enough to stay without feeling tacky. It feels emollient on your lips. And while there is shimmer, you don’t feel them on your lips. Optimism looks beige or brown almost in the tube but on your lips, it’s natural looking. There’s enough color to create shine and a slight tint of goldish-beige but not so much pigment that your lips looks completely brown. And my favorite part is that my lips don’t dry out like they do with other glosses. Because the gloss is infused with Argan Oil, my lips have the benefit of being moisturized while they shine.
