Mario, Mario… How you clear my skin (Mario Badescu, yes again)
You know by now that I have a love affair with scrubbing. I love it. Exfoliating feels so good to me. I have combination skin that in the warmer temperature’s tends to clog itself up. And I always think scrubbing is the answer.
NOT always the case. Sometimes, my love for scrubbing causes problems. Like say when the weather begins to cool down in the fall and I might still be scrubbing as if there’s a heat wave.
Then you know what happens? BUMPS. I get a lot of little bumps and white heads on my chin and cheek. And for some reason, you would think I’d prepare better, but I don’t and I let it happen every year and I get surprised when the bumps and white nasty heads appear.
So when I see the you-have-no-reason-for-being-there bumps I have to do the hardest thing for an obsessive exfoliator. I have to stop scrubbing. THE HORROR!
But then how do I clear up the mess I made of my face? I use Mario Badescu’s Glycolic Foaming Cleanser. I have even turned my husband – who dealt with acne most of his life- onto this product. And it’s cleared his skin up, completely.
What is this magic in a bottle? This is a sheer, clear liquid that deep cleans your skin. Do not let the thin feel of the gel-like cleanser fool you. It’s tough on congested skin. It uses the tough power of Glycolic Acid to break through the grease the clogs your pores and reduce minor discolorations to leave your skin clear and radiant.
Glycolic Acid, for those of you who are not all that into ingredients, is a small part of an Alpha-Hydroxy Acid. And there’s some long preparation process for it that really, we don’t need to understand. But what we should know is the Glycolic Acids are used in stronger strengths by dermatologists in chemical peels. Why is this important? Because chemical peels reveal smoother, more radiant and plumper skin. So using smaller concentrations of it on a weekly basis is very beneficial to your skin for a variety of reasons. Like to prevent aging. Or to reduce discoloration. I had a spot on the side of my cheek from pregnancy known as melasma… GONE. And I attribute it to Mario and this Glycolic Acid Cleanser.
Another amazing use for this? I get bumps on the back of my arms which you might know is keratosis pilaris. I have used creams that are labeled for this reason that have NOT worked. THIS wash… works. My arms are smoother than they have been in YEARS.
So true to form… I had a skin issue, I ran to Mario and he saved me. 6 oz. is $15 and worth every penny!!!
