My NEW #1 Beauty Site: Dermstore.com
I’m sure you do some of your beauty shopping online. If you’re like me, you do most of it online save for items like concealer or foundation or things you need to really test on your skin. And I can’t lie, I love Sephora. It’s like Toys ‘R’ Us for big girls. But sometimes Sephora doesn’t exactly cater to my elitist junkie side. The side that needs to be in before a brand gets attention and notoriety.
Through Beautyfix, I became aware of Dermstore.com. When you complete 2 reviews or survey’s (I forget which) for your quarterly kit, you get a $25 gift card to use on a $50 purchase at Dermstore. Not one to let beauty money go to waste, I started to shop the store. And I have to tell you it’s quickly become my favorite site to shop. Why? Well… let me tell you.
First… they have an auto refill option. Which is usually annoying (hello QVC) because you don’t exactly realize that they are signing you up for the service. But Dermstore makes it SUPER easy. It’s question on your checkout form with a simple drop down menu of yes or no. AND… you can control the frequency. So for things like cleanser and toner that have quicker refill times, you can choose 30 days. For things with a longer refill time like moisturizer or eye cream, you can choose 60, 90 etc… it is SO incredibly helpful! Especially when say having a full time job and a child prevent you from even getting to Ulta – that is a quick drive away from your home. (UGH!)
Second… if you create an account and mark certain items as “favorites” you get 10% off that item when you purchase it. WHAT!?! 10%!?! Seriously. 10% off. EVERY TIME you order it. Just for pressing “add to favorites”. Hello discount. I’m all about the discounts.
Third… tell a friend, you get “rewards”. I have told a few friends but they haven’t purchased anything or created an account so no rewards for me yet… but I’m so for getting rewards (see above statements regarding discounts)!
Fourth… MORE DISCOUNTS! For every review on a product, you get a 15% off discount code to use on a following order. Now you can’t go and review the same product over and over (duh!) but if you order 4 different products and review each product, you will receive 4 15% discount codes to use on 4 separate orders… I LOVE DISCOUNTS!
Fifth… Samples and Free gifts. I have received 1 year subscriptions to Women’s Health, In Style and More Magazines as gifts from Dermstore. And they are super generous with samples- which of course I LOVE.
Sixth… They have cool features on their site like “Ask the Esthetician” and being really into good skincare, I find that to be a really useful feature particularly when I’m trying a new brand. They have fun things like “beauty horoscopes” and Dermstore TV that has helpful videos that show you hot to apply shadow and review products.
Seventh… they have an ENTIRE SECTION of their site devoted to telling you which brands are offering a free gift with purchase. Actually at this point it’s 3 PAGES!!! So I like LaLicious Body Scrub. I went to the gift products page… and they were offering a gift with purchase. I ordered and got the scrub for FREE. OMG. Favorite scrub… FREE. I mean… how cool is THAT?
So I could probably go on and on here but I won’t. Next time you’re going to purchase something from another beauty site (I could name a few here…) I would check out Dermstore.com first. They have an incredible amount of brands, some you’ll be familiar with and some you won’t but should be familiar with. And I think you will be so pleased with not only the products but the customer service as well!
