Nailing it… OPI Nail Lacquer’s collection with Mariah Carey
Yes, I am a HUGE fan of Mariah Carey. And I don’t mean that I like her music. I mean I LOVE HER. I collect all things Mariah. So when I found out she was coming out with an OPI Nail Color collection, I swooned. I mean Beauty + Mariah = Heaven!
I went to Ulta this weekend and found the collection but only 3 full size bottles remained. I purchased 2 of the 3 left: A Butterfly Moment – a Pinky-Beige that closely resembles Essie’s Demure Vixen (another color I’m obsessed with) and Pink yet Lavender – a glitter polish that perfectly fits that description (it’s Mariah’s “signature color”).
The color I chose not to get is called Anti-Bleak. Anti-Bleak is another Mariah-ism and the color is a very reddish purple. I love purple. LOVE. But I like a cooler purple so I let that go.
What wasn’t at Ulta was this “liquid sand” technology that allows you to paint your nails so that they have texture like sand, are matte but with sparkles. There wasn’t a bottle of any of those 4 colors to be found.
In any case… I’m excited. next manicure… I’m totally going to have “A Butterfly Moment”! What do you think of Mariah’s Collection? Have you tried the Liquid Sand?
