Something super cool happened on our little Facebook page yesterday! Someone left a comment how their favorite fragrance had been discontinued and they only had a tiny bit left but they were afraid to use it all and not have it again.
When you have a discontinued product there are always a bunch of things you can do. If it’s been discontinued recently, you can call the 1-800 number on any box and ask the company if they will sell their remaining stock to you. Then there are also sites like eBay and Makeup Alley where you can find discontinued product.
But having a decade of experience in corporate cosmetics, I have also been aware of services that will re-create the product for you. For fragrance, one of the sites I have known of is ScentMatchers.com. Scentmatchers.com is a service that duplicates any of your discontinued cologne’s or perfumes. If it’s a more common scent, the entire process is done via their site. If it’s an obscure fragrance they will need a sample mailed to them. The cost is $59.99, which I think is pretty damn affordable for something you adore and might never had access to again otherwise.
I let the person on our Facebook page know about scentmatchers.com and guess what… SHE ORDERED! She was excited and seemed happy and I was probably MORE excited that I helped someone find something they really liked! 
I can’t wait to hear how it turned out for her and I will definitely update you here when I find out!
