Scrubs & Oils – oh yes! Purelement Naturals Review

My Purelement Naturals Care package Over the weekend, I dipped into my little goody bag that was sent over to me by Purelement Naturals. I was pretty excited to get into all the products but honestly, the scrubs – you know I love to scrub – were calling me. So on Saturday morning, I woke for my weekly at home facial (Mario Badescu’s Flower & Tonic Mask is my fave at the moment) and broke open one of the samples.

Before putting on any sort of mask, I always do a scrub. So I thought what better time to try the Blackberry Face & Body Polish? I took my little scooper and scooped some of the contents into my palm, and wet it down a bit and gently smoothed it over my skin. My first impression was that this was a little rough for the face. Second was that it was oily. Generally, I like a fine scrub for my face and something rougher for my body. I do make exceptions and this scrub is one of the exceptions. It made my skin GLOW. And that oil that I felt? I completely thought “Oh dear… this isn’t going to be good” but you know what? My face not only glowed but it was super soft like beyond soft. Baby skin soft. It was unreal. I loved it. And the scent – not berry-ish at all. Completely spa-like. It was like walking into my favorite spa in Nolita (a neighborhood in downtown Manhattan) on Great Jones Street. CRAZY addictive scent.

The second thing I tried was the Defend Argan Oil. This was the only product I had any sort of literature on. And I devoured it. I am such a product geek that YES, I read everything that comes with the products I purchase or receive. NERD GIRL right here! I have used Josie Maran’s Argan Oil for a while and before that I used Dr. Haushka’s Daily Face Oil. I’m no stranger to oil and have been using it for many, many years. This oil is probably THE BEST oil I have ever used in my 15+ years in the industry. It’s that good. it’s light, so light that it melts into your skin within moments. You need very, very little. I was given 2 small vials and I will be able to use them both through a full 7 days – easy. And again with that scent. It’s a complete spa moment every single time I put it on. I barely need moisturizer on top of it, which I love. Many times, with other oils, it sinks in so quickly that I need something on top of it to continue to moisturize the dry areas. NOT with this stuff. Did I mention the scent? OMG. IN LOVE with the smell of it.

Last I tried the Turbinado Sugar Body Polish and my first thought was Fresh’s Sugar Body Polish. It is similar to Fresh but less oily afterwards. Your skin is coated with a light oil residue after using but it’s a more dry oil and it made my arms (where I chose to use the sample) super clean feeling and soft. I don’t get that with Fresh. With Fresh, the body scrub leaves such a thick oil that my arms break out. I’m very sensitive to that kind of body scrub and rarely use them. 2 days later… I have not had a single arm breakout after using the Turbinado Sugar Body Polish.

I have two more products to use but I’m a bit confused on what they’re for. I have to figure that out first… so there’ll be a second post. But to net this out for you – any time I am given a sample, I always ask myself, would I purchase it? And the answer for all 3 products I used is resounding YES. I really loved the freshness of the Blackberry Face & Body Scrub and the softness afterwards and I see a HUGE difference in Defend Argan Oil versus other Argan Oil Face Products. The quality here is super high.

Defend can be purchased HERE (1.7 ounces) for $48.

Turbinado Sugar Body Polish can be purchased HERE for $20 (OMG SO PURCHASING THIS! IT’S AFFORDABLE!!!!)

And the the Blackberry & Argan Face & Body Polish is brand spanking new and can be purchased HERE. In the meantime, please visit Purelement Naturals at their site to lear more about how they HAND make every product.

Big thank you to Purelement Naturals for the products and part 2 is coming (I did my research on their site on the 2 creams!)…
