Nordstrom Gem Cool Lip Gloss Set

I told you not too long ago that I have a little fixation on Nordstrom right now… for so many reasons but mainly because their beauty floor is just always amazing. They always seem to have a pulse on up and coming brands like Jouer and they sell Mario Badescu and aren’t always half empty like another store I will not name – so this is as close to heaven as I’ll get. So when I saw that Nordstrom was launching their own cosmetic line, I was intrigued. But I kind of let it go.

See, I have attitude about store lines. Sephora has a line and I have never even glanced at that gondola. I walk through the store overlooking that one row as if it doesn’t even exist. I don’t care if the colors are exactly like the more expensive brands I own, I just turn my beauty snobby nose right up and ignore it.

But the Gem Lip Gloss sets at Nordstrom just screamed at me. The gemstone on the lid was so cute and the fact that they came with a set of 3 hopefuls in the perfect pink gloss search intrigued me even more. So I broke my snobby creed and bought it.

The glosses themselves are not sticky, there’s no scent and are very wearable. From my first application, it lasted just about 4 hours and that’s through drinking my morning Protein Smoothie. I don’t notice any glaring shimmer on my lips and the colors range from a very light natural pink to a more bright but still natural pink. My lips didn’t feel dry as some glosses tend to do.

All in all, I’m actually REALLY impressed. So impressed, I picked up the “Warm” set too. :-/
