I am a very faithful client. I would rather change dentists before changing colorists. Seriously. I’ve been going to the same colorist for 8 years now and before her, I only changed because I moved from Manhattan to Long Island.
At my hair salon, they had this leave in conditioner type product that they put through my hair and I felt like I was transported to someplace tropical. It was like an instant vacation until I opened my eyes.
What I was sniffing was called The Balm and it’s by a line I hadn’t heard of called Mikki Moore. The Balm is said to “replenish essential proteins that restore color-treated, sun-damaged, frizzy hair to its youthful quality.”
It’s very emollient. When you put it in your hand it looks like a wash out conditioner. It’s not. It is leave-in. The Balm is “GREAT FOR ALL HAIR TYPES, will moisturize and heal hair, giving it exceptional softness, de-tangling, conditioning, and a vibrant shine.”
I will tell you my hair has never felt so soft. It has incredible bounce and shine and is easy to brush or comb through. And the smell is divine. It’s ingredients include many natural oils and extracts and here’s the main ingredients and what they do for your hair :
Coconut Oil – Deeply penetrating oil that combats hair loss, treats a dry scalp and moisturizes dry hair
Shea butter & Pro Vitamin B5 – builds strength
Hops- adds body
Chamomilla Extract -seals in oils and closes the cuticle
The coconut oil is what I smell but it’s not overpowering, it’s just amazing. It totally sweeps you away… I was totally looking for a great leave-in conditioner, I am a HUGE fan of them and I am committing to Mikki Moore The Balm… not only am I in love with the smell but I love what it does to my hair!
I purchased it at my salon for $22 and have been unable to find it anywhere online. So check your salon or Mikki Moore’s Facebook page for locations!
